I first purchased this to take part in my Six Nations of Beer competition when I first started my channel, and Brew Toon got in touch to say that it might not be perfect, so they'd like to send me a whole raft of goodies to apologise. Which they did, and from what they sent my channels journey in to beer reviews properly began.
But Torr is back, and, hopefully better than ever! Today I finally get to review the beer that really kick-started it for me, even though I'd never tried it! Well today is the day and Torr Mountain Lager absolutely did not disappoint!
Brew Toon describe themselves as: Established in 2017 in the most Eastern point of mainland Scotland, we brew our beers in small batches in the nautical town of Peterhead. At Brew Toon we are passionate about creating bold, adventurous craft beers, packed full of flavour and character. We strive to use local ingredients where ever possible and pride ourselves on this provenance.
And Brew Toon describe their Torr Mountain Lager as: From its origins nestled high in the Bennachie Mountains, Torr Lager has come to rest by Scotland's North Sea coast. A crisp refreshing beer with a smooth finish. The sea has now met the mountain. Worth the hike.
