Although this beer has been out for about four years, Tesco have claimed it as new in their beer range as they have it in new four packs of 440ml cans. Today I review Northern Monk Northern Star, albeit in its original 330ml guise, as simply, I hadn't tried it before.
Northern Monk describe their Northern Star beer as a decadent chocolate, caramel and biscuit porter. However, a few years back it was being paraded as a Mocha Porter. Perhaps the recipe on Northern Monk's Northern Star has changed a little over the years, but that velvety chocolate-coffee richness still perseveres in the 2021 edition of the Northern Star beer.
Northern Monk are considered one of the more reliable and better quality craft brewers to feature on the shelves of Tesco, Morrisons and the like. This is my first experience with Northern Monk and their Northern Star Chocolate Caramel Biscuit Porter did not disappoint.
