Rhubarb and Custard Pale Ale isn't the most obvious choice in adjunct-filled frivolity, but, from time-to-time, they can be really quite the incredible mix. My long-time home-grown hero Blue Monkey have been producing their interpretation called Blubarb & Custard for a number of years, and even a stand-out at the Nottingham Beer Festival.
And now the Yorkshire craft beer sensation that is Northern Monk have now also had a go in the form of their Don't Mess With Yorkshire Rhubarb & Custard Pale Ale, available as craft beer in many UK supermarkets.
So who takes this slightly unconventional crown? Well...you decide.
